Our 44th president

By fortune I was sent home from work sick and was able to watch the Inauguration of the President of the United States. What an awesome feeling to see the first African American president come into office. Over one million people watched the inauguration from the National Mall and hundreds of thousands more packed Pennsylvania Avenue. All out in 12 degree weather. What I really took from the speech is how he took from the good of our history and then made it clear that we all have to take responsibility for change. "What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility -- a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task." I also really enjoyed the benediction. Lowery was quite entertaining and real from the heart.

I'm one of those who prefers to be behind the camera rather than in front of it.
