Ethiopian Christmas party
Saturday we went to an Ethiopian Christmas party. This was a group of people in our state who have adopted from Ethiopia. It was great. I bet there were at least 100 people there. There were so many beautiful children. There were 4 older teens who performed Ethiopian cultural dances and they were just mesmerizing. They were also so gentle with the young ones. The girls were dressed in their cultural clothing. It was beautiful. I was able to speak to so many parents also who so lovingly shared there stories. I am getting so anxious to see who my child/ren well be and to visit this awesome country.

Sounds like a great time. One of my favorite things about Ethiopia was how everyone, regardless of age, treated those younger than them with such respect. It wasn't just respect for those older than you. I see that all the time in how Medina treats Ruby and I think it's one of the reasons many older kids transition so well during the adoption process.
