Sent off for a passport today. Hoping and praying all the docs come back with a passport. For those of you interested, This is what the officials said you need, for the west anyway.
Birth Certificate Ethiopian and US (Official)
Adoption Decree must be translated or in English (original)
Registration of a foreign adoption (Certified copy)
Green Card or Ethiopian Passport
Then I needed my passport which they verified copied and gave back to me.
Update: Just wanted to update E's passport came 5/6/2011. We had one hiccup,
E's middle name was to long and they wanted me to pick initials. I just
left out the middle name. We got all the documents returned safely
